Fleet FAQ
Any company that runs vehicles on regular routes: bus and trotro operators, staff and school shuttles, and transport companies with several depots. You can run one fleet or several under the same company account.
No. You add the driver in the portal and dropCab emails them a Driver ID and a 6-digit PIN. They sign in to the dropCab app with those, and each new phone is confirmed before it can be used.
No. Riders use the regular dropCab app, which runs in any phone browser and can be added to the home screen. Your trips show up in their searches with your logo and colour.
During the beta riders pay your driver in cash at check-in. Paying in the app by wallet, card or mobile money is being switched on city by city. Money paid in the app goes to the payout account your owner sets, by bank transfer or mobile money, and every fare and payout is on your account statement.
You are reminded before the expiry date. A bus with expired papers is flagged in the portal so you can upload the renewed document; dropCab reviews it before the bus carries riders again.
You do. Set your own fares with no restrictions from dropCab, or choose dropCab's pricing engine and let it work out the fare for every seat. The choice is yours, fleet by fleet.
